Big City Volleyball is NYC’s go-to volleyball organization, running fun and engaging programs for players of all ages across 30 locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. Our youth programs focus on building skills, confidence, and a love for the game in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a passionate, organized, and energetic leader to take charge of our youth programs. As the Director of Youth Sports and Enrichment, you’ll oversee everything from leagues and clinics to camps and special events—making sure kids have an awesome, safe, and rewarding experience. If you love sports, working with kids, and making an impact, this role is for you!
What You’ll Do:
Run & Grow Our Programs
- Plan and manage youth leagues, tournaments, clinics, classes, summer camps, club team programs and more.
- Create fun, age-appropriate training programs that keep kids engaged and learning.
Lead & Support an Amazing Team
- Hire, train, and mentor coaches, referees, and support staff.
- Foster a positive, team-first culture where everyone thrives.
Make Sure Everything Runs Smoothly
- Keep programs safe and compliant with the latest regulations.
- Manage equipment, schedules, and program logistics.
Connect with Families & the Community
- Be the main point of contact for parents, players, and coaches.
- Gather feedback to improve and expand our offerings.
- Work with our marketing team to spread the word through social media, email, and community outreach.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in youth sports programs (volleyball experience is a big plus!).
- Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Great communication—you can connect with kids, parents, and staff easily.
- Comfortable using tech tools like Google Suite, Asana, HubSpot CRM and social media.
- Passion for youth sports, mentorship, and building a strong community.
Location
The position is onsite in our Manhattan offices and involves assignments during our volleyball programs in Manhattan, Brooklyn and/or Queens including weekends and evenings. We use Asana, Slack, Zoom, Hubspot, Open Sports and Google docs to communicate and collaborate, among other tools.
Compensation
$80,000 - $100,000 per year.
