The Fire Sprinkler Foreman must completely understand the mechanics of fire sprinkler system installation and be knowledgeable regarding all NFPA codes and standards. The Fire Sprinkler Foreman will work directly with the General Contractor and AHJ from the delivery of materials through to the final inspections. Our goal for the Fire Sprinkler Foreman is to communicate thoroughly and professionally with the GC and BCFP's Operations Manager; to ensure proper installation of new systems and repairs. The Fire Sprinkler Foreman will be responsible for organizing site clean-up, staging, inventory of materials upon arrival, prep. of materials, and distribution of work materials to other employees on the job site. The Fire Sprinkler Foreman will be expected to guide and train all Apprentice / Helpers regarding the day to day work task he/she is assigned too.
( NEW CONSTRUCTION WORK IS ALL OVER CENTRAL FLORIDA, ORLANDO, TAMPA, MELBOURNE, OCALA, THE VILLAGES) ( SERVICE WORK COVERS THE ENTIRE STATE)
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Must know how to read a tape measure
- Must have basic math skills
- Must have the ability to thread and cut pipe on a pipe threading machine
- Must have the ability to read construction plans
- Must have the ability to properly document and install as-built plans when changes are necessary
- Must be knowledgeable and able to represent BCFP during all levels of inspections
- Must have the ability to organize and inventory job site materials upon delivery
- Must maintain a clean and safe work area
- Must be physically fit to perform the work
- Must be able to lift/carry 75lbs
- Possess the ability to work well with others and train apprentice / helpers
- Must have a clean driving record and meet BCFP's auto insurance requirements to drive a work truck
- Must be able to organize and account for all jobsite tools and ladders. Completing a daily inventory on all BCFP tools
- Be willing to work nights and weekends if needed (not common but does happen)
