What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Flatwork Superintendent position at Big-D Construction?
Big-D has an opportunity for a Concrete Superintendent to join our team of construction professionals based in Salt Lake City, specifically working on tilt ups and parking structures. This position is responsible for providing leadership for the flatwork crew including supervision, schedule and financial management, and overseeing equipment. This position will be assigned to multiple projects across Big-D, depending on the size of each respective project.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Direct and work with Flatwork Foreman to achieve highest quality floors.
- Maintain and complete all paperwork - daily, weekly, and monthly reports
- Maintain schedule accurately throughout project
- Record project delays in Procore.
- Maintain schedule with Superintendent and convey productivity expectations
- Interact with the clients, subcontractors, and staff in a professional, courteous, and appropriate manner
- Understand budgets and productivity rates
- Review weekly production tracking for each project
- Understand/maintain all safety polices
- Flatwork Schedule
- Understanding FF/FL numbers and Mix Designs
Requirements:
- 10 Years of Concrete Management or another related field preferred
- Microsoft Office competency
- Ability to communicate professionally with field employees, architects, and owners effectively
- Good time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Work well in a team environment
- Field experience and/or general knowledge of the trades
Hazards: May be exposed to extremes of heat and cold as well as certain unsafe environments. Hard hat, safety vest, glasses, and gloves will be provided by Big-D. Safety Orientation is a requirement before starting work.
