Counter Sales / Warehouse Associate - Lake Havasu

Big D Floor Covering Supplies is a leading wholesale supplier to the flooring installation trade. We have locations in five States across the Southwest. We are experiencing big growth and need a Counter Sales Warehouse Associate for our Lake Havasu City branch. The ideal candidate is consistent, energetic and willing to learn. We work in a fast-paced wholesale warehouse/retail environment serving flooring installation contractors.

In this position, you will interact with and get to know loyal customers as well as co-workers. You will also assist with warehouse duties. It's a physically demanding--you'll be on your feet at a Sales Counter and in the Warehouse all day--but rewarding job.

Job Requirements:

· Must be able to handle and maneuver a variety of materials--single items weighing up to 75 lbs and pallets (utilizing pallet jack) weighing up to 2,000 lbs.

· Must have high school diploma or equivalent (Ex: GED)

· Must be able to read, write and communicate in English

· Must have legal right or authorization to work in the United States

Additional qualities considered an advantage:

· Experience operating forklift and/or pallet jack

· Attention to detail

Core Job Duties

· Interacting with customers to take orders for products

· Assisting customers with technical questions about products

· Entering and finalizing customer orders

· Preparing and placing special order requests with our Purchasing Dept

· Pulling product from warehouse for customers

· Stocking products in showroom

· Cleaning and organizing showroom

· Heavy lifting

· Driving a forklift

· Assist with warehouse duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• Working in our warehouse is physically demanding, requiring regular lifting of items weighing 50 lbs or more. Are you able to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs )?
• Working in the warehouse is considered a safety sensitive position. We have a no-tolerance drug use policy (including for medical use) and require all new employees to pass a pre-placement drug screen. If selected, would you be willing to take a drug screen prior to starting?
