Host/Food Runner

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Food Runner, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and with exceptional service. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide outstanding hospitality will contribute to an enjoyable dining experience for our patrons.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner.
• Assist servers by ensuring that all orders are accurate and complete before serving.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area, including clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.
• Communicate with kitchen staff regarding order status, special requests, or any issues that may arise.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and needs promptly and courteously.
• Utilize the POS system for tracking orders and assisting with any necessary transactions.
• Uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the service process.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service and hospitality.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, along with basic phone etiquette for handling guest inquiries.
• A positive attitude and willingness to help team members as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift items as necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 11 per week
