Position Overview :

We are looking for a skilled Part-Time Construction Estimator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various residential renovation and addition projects, with the potential to contribute to our upcoming custom home builds. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid background in construction estimation, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for home renovations and additions.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to gather specifications and understand the project scope.
Evaluate blueprints and other project documents to develop estimates that align with client budgets and expectations.
Research and obtain material and labor costs.
Analyze project requirements, identify risks, and provide value engineering options when necessary.
Maintain up-to-date records of cost databases and build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing.
Assist in the preparation of proposals and support the sales process as needed.
Stay updated on current market trends and construction methods.

Qualifications :

Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years as a construction estimator, preferably in residential projects focusing on renovations and additions. Experience with custom home building is a plus.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in construction estimation software (e.g., Buildertrend, ProEst, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge : Solid understanding of construction methods, local building codes, and industry best practices.

Communication : Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to clients and team members.

Detail-Oriented : High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Team Player : Ability to work collaboratively in a family-oriented, quality-driven environment.

Knowledge of Builder Trend
