Equipment Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment on construction sites. This role is critical in ensuring efficient operations and maintaining safety standards while performing tasks such as digging, transporting materials, and assisting with various construction activities. Pay is based on experience and skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including dump trucks, bulldozers, loaders, and excavators safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks on the construction site.
• Dig trenches and perform earthmoving activities as required by project specifications.
• Transport materials to and from job sites while adhering to all safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Assist in the training of new operators as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with dump trucks, excavators, bulldozers, loaders, motor graders, rollers, etc.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with machinery.
• Familiarity with farm machinery is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment on construction sites.
• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
