Big Dog Walkin’ started in 2012 the old fashioned way: walking dogs in our neighborhood in Brighton! It was our ambition to provide dogs with lots of love, attention, exercise and play! We quickly grew from our apartment on Commonwealth Avenue to a full-service pet care company providing walks, daycare, dog-park trips, boarding, bathing and cat visit services to the communities of Allston/Brighton, Brookline, and Newton.

If this sounds like you, the Dog Daycare Assistant Manager position could be a fit! We are hiring a personable, responsible, reliable person to help oversee the day-to-day of our small, local doggy daycare.
In this role, you will:
- Oversee the completion of daily tasks and services
- Ensure the quality of tasks and services completed
- Interact with clients and resolve client issues as they arise
- Use software to handle the administrative side of our services
- Manage the staff, ensure cooperation, communication, and effective use of time
- Step in on dog care services as needed
- Train new staff
Requirements:
Prior experience with dogs is required.
Prior professional experience with dogs is preferred.
Prior leadership experience is required.
A smart phone is required for this position.
Driver's license required. Owning a car is a plus.
You are a good fit for this role if you:
- Have years of experience with dogs
- Know the basics of dog health and behavior
- Have management experience
- Are available full time and flexibly
- Have a driver's license, and are comfortable driving
- Enjoys leading a team
- Are proficient in Google Suite, and can quickly learn new basic software
- Can keep your cool in high stress environments
- Are able to juggle many tasks at once
