Inclusion Professional

  • Maximum Term, Full Time until June 2025
  • 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday @ 7.6 hours per day
  • Dickson, ACT Location
  • Salary range of $79,000 to $89,000, dependent on experience and relevant skills

We are a not for profit, community owned, non-government organisation which provides high quality care and education for children, national and statewide inclusion services as part of a National Consortia and operate many community-based services to children and families. These include post-natal depression groups, transition to school and supported playgroups.

What your work will involve

The aim of the Inclusion Professional is to support educators in federally funded education and care services to increase their capacity and capability to embed inclusive practices within their service. You will identify strengths, capacity and capability of educators to ensure that support provided is tailored to educators and eligible services.

You will work to promote a clear understanding of inclusion, which focuses on all children being seen as capable and contributing to their environment. The position involves working closely with other Inclusion Agency team members to deliver inclusion support, which is flexible and responsive to the needs of eligible services within the jurisdiction and in accordance with the Inclusion Support Programme Guidelines.

What you’ll need:

  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care, or ACECQA Approved Equivalent
  • High level of understanding of inclusion pedagogy and practice and its application in Education and Care Settings
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and to be able to deliver high levels of professional service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in leading, coaching and/or mentoring teams of Educators
  • Extensive knowledge and passion for inclusive practice
  • Proven experience in the Education and Care Sector
  • Maintain a valid paid NSW Working with Children Check through the Office of the Children’s Guardian and an ACT Working With Vulnerable People Check
  • Understanding of the Inclusion Support Programmed guiding principles
  • Have commitment to Child Protection and abide by all company policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability and the ability to respond positively to change within the work environment
  • Current driver’s license and personal vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
  • Inclusion Support Portal experience (desirable)
