Job Summary
Our Special Needs Entrepreneurial Day Program 'Pottery and Art Teacher' will play a crucial role in supporting adult individuals with special needs during art enterprises. This position involves advocating for the rights and needs of clients, providing support and adaptation in art enterprises, and facilitating the transition of activities of the day. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in special education, pottery and art background, and demonstrate a commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities.
Duties
- Collaborate with staff to understand each Citizen's unique needs, and help implement a tailored support plan and adaptations for engagement in Pottery and Art Enterprises.
- To get familiar with each Citizen's Person Centered and Behavior Plans, their preferred learning styles, preferred schedules, and preferred communication methods.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and social skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
