Summary/Objective
Big Grove is coming to Omaha Spring of 2025! We are so excited to open our first taproom outside of Iowa and we are on the search for our Omaha leadership team. Part of the Omaha leadership team will be the Events Manager- accountable for the event space, event planning and our event catering program. We will be hosting a diverse set of events including corporate events, social parties, weddings, fundraisers, concerts, indoor/outdoor events, holiday events, and more.

Essential Functions
- Lead and manage the events team; effective use of Big Grove’s people tools.
- Strategically align events with company and location vision and goals.
- Increase taproom event revenue through proactive outreach to the surrounding business community and other outbound sales.
- Primary point of contact for client communication and consultation. Understand clients needs, preferences and vision for their event. Provide advice and offer tailored event planning.
- Collaborate with clients to create event proposals, including layout, catering and beverage options and other services. Generate client invoices and keep track of accounts receivable.
- Oversees the event catering program.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring financial goals are being met while maintaining a high-quality experience for attendees.
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of the event; set up, tear down, vendor coordination and timeline management. Accountable for the smooth execution of events.
- Vendor Management: Source and coordinate with external vendors and negotiate contracts.
- Communicate and coordinate the event schedule with the full taproom team.
- Deepen community relationships by helping to organize and coordinate community events.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote the brewery’s space and event offerings.

Supervisory Responsibility
Supervises Event Staff while working events. Works closely with Back of the House Leadership/Event Chef to ensure all needs, requests, and happenings are being communicated.
Work Environment
This position operates in a hospitality/ brewery environment. This role routinely uses cleaning supplies and point of sale terminal systems.
Physical Demands

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position and hours of work/days may vary from week to week. The business is open 7 days a week during many day parts. Evening and weekends are a key requirement.
Travel
There will be some travel for training, but once up and running, minimal travel is required.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in event planning, sales and management, especially in the food and beverage industry.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
At least one year of experience managing people.
