What You Will Do:
As the People and Culture Manager, you will be at the heart of our HR functions, ensuring that Big Horn Heating and Cooling remains a great place to work for every team member. You will partner with leadership to create and maintain an engaging work environment where employees thrive, are motivated to do their best work, and are aligned with our company goals and values. You will oversee all aspects of the employee experience, including onboarding, training, retention, and employee relations, while ensuring that our people practices are aligned with our company’s culture and vision. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining competitive benefit programs that attract and retain top talent.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage people-centric HR programs, policies, and practices that align with the company’s values and objectives.
- Ensure that employees receive a positive and meaningful onboarding experience, helping them integrate into the company culture.
- Partner with leadership to create and maintain effective training and development programs that empower employees to grow and advance their careers.
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, addressing concerns, providing guidance, and resolving employee relations issues with fairness and empathy.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve employee retention, job satisfaction, and overall workplace morale.
- Create and maintain competitive compensation and benefits packages that attract and retain top talent, ensuring they are aligned with industry standards and company values.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HR trends and regulations.
- Conduct performance management processes, including setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and facilitating employee development plans.
- Promote work-life balance and a healthy work environment, offering support in areas such as employee well-being and work flexibility.
- Manage HR-related administrative tasks such as record-keeping, reporting, and compliance documentation.
- Foster a culture of continuous feedback, open communication, and transparency, promoting a sense of belonging for all employees.
What We Look For:
Required:
- At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with a strong focus on employee relations, engagement, and culture-building.
- A deep understanding of HR best practices and employment law.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion, empathy, and professionalism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels of the organization.
- Experience in developing and implementing HR programs and policies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Regional travel 25 - 40%
- Hybrid work: In-person at one of our locations and remote work (Jackson, Cody or Worland)
Preferred:
- Experience in a service-oriented or trade-based company (HVAC or similar industries).
- College degree preferred
- Knowledge of HR software and systems.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.
- Experience with HR-related metrics and data-driven decision-making.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
