Outside Sales Representative
Position: Outside Sales Representative
Reporting to: Director of Sales and Outreach
Overview: The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for promoting Big Ideas’ mission gaining financial and/or volunteer support through in-person and/or virtual sales presentations. This role involves researching potential clients, refining presentations, and developing lasting relationships that support the long-term goals of Big Ideas. The Outside Sales Rep will work closely with the Inside Sales Associate and the Director of Sales and Outreach to ensure a unified approach to expanding Big Ideas' market presence.
The Outside Sales Associate has a Skilled Trades background, capable of working and leading Big Ideas events as necessary. This brings authenticity and credibility to both the sales position and programming.
Responsibilities:
- Research potential clients and market opportunities.
- Deliver in-person sales presentations to targeted businesses and organizations.
- Develop and refine sales presentations and materials.
- Maintain and update CRM with accurate lead and client information.
- Track and report on sales performance and pipeline status.
- Collaborate with the Inside Sales Associate to share insights and coordinate efforts.
- Attend BI business meetings virtually or in person as appropriate.
- Lead or instruct lab events when necessary
Qualifications:
- Experience in Skilled Trades.
- Supervision or management experience preferred.
- 5 Years of Sales experience preferred.
- Prior nonprofit experience is ideal.
- Strong research and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
