Position Overview: The Patient Attendant at Big Island Grown, Waimea, plays a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and knowledge to patients. This position is responsible for greeting and assisting patients, educating them on product benefits, and ensuring their experience exceeds expectations. A successful candidate will embody our company values, maintain high standards of professionalism and be inspiring about patient health and wellness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent quality customer service to Patients.
• Champion company values and foster a culture of integrity, transparency, collaboration, and accountability.
• Adhere to the company's mission statement, core values, and ethical standards in all patient interactions.
• Exhibits a genuine sense of interest and concern for Patients and/or demonstrates anticipatory Patient care product needs when appropriate and helpful.
• Ensure compliance with State law, specifically HRS 329-D and Chapter 11-850.
• Verify valid identification of patients entering the building and ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service, assist with purchases, and make product recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dispensary interior and product displays.
• Prepare stations, ensure they are fully stocked and clean, and assist with side work as needed.
• Complete opening and closing checklists thoroughly.
• Maintain a log of visitor activity, including time of arrival and departure.
• Conduct general housekeeping duties and assist with merchandise processing and replenishment.
• Participate in weekly inventory counts and uphold standards for accuracy.
• Operate Point of Sale (POS) system to ring up sales, handle cash, and process credit card transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness through regular dusting, glass cleaning, vacuuming, sweeping, and sanitization.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and conscientiousness in all tasks.
• Uphold strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must be 21 years or older, required.
• Experience and/or knowledge of the cannabis industry, preferred.
• Must pass a Department of Health (DOH) background check and maintain clearance, required.
• Knowledgeable about cannabis products or willing to learn.
• Familiarity with HRS 329-D and HAR 11-850 preferred, but must have willingness to obtain this knowledge.
• Ability to learn and use POS software effectively.
• Highly customer service-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, professional environment.
• Ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, and demonstrate basic math and organizational skills.

The Location and Hours:

Located: 64-1040 Mamalahoa Hwy, Waimea, HI 96743

Open Monday to Sunday from 9am to 7pm.
