Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated AutoBody Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for automotive repair and restoration. This role involves working with various vehicles, utilizing power tools. The AutoBody Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality workmanship.
Schedule
Monday-Thursday 8:00am - 6:00pm
Responsibilities
- Perform automotive repairs and restorations on various types of vehicles.
- Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively for repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Document work performed and communicate progress with management.
- Getting cars from the epoxy primer stage through all the bodywork and ready to be painted.
- High attention to detail.
- Proper block selection
- Collaborating with team members to drive efficiency and problem solve.
- Hold yourself accountable, and be willing to accept constructive criticism when needed.
- Uphold the proper budget for each project.
- Maintain proper record of time and materials.
- Operate a variety of hand, power, shop tools.
- Support fellow teammates as needed
- Knowledge of: Methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the department
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Proper usage of OSHA-approved safety equipment. I.e. PPE like gloves, eyewear, etc.
Experience
- Proven experience in autobody repair or restoration is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a similar environment is beneficial.
- Gapping and fitment
- Prep work and epoxy
- Blocking, Long blocking, bodywork, and wet sanding
- Panel matching
- Disassembly and assembly
- Polyester prime and 2K prime
Requirements
- Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
- Ability to identify issues and make recommendations to improve existing processes.
- Ability to thrive in a team-based environment and achieve common goals.
- Ability to embrace new methods with little to no hesitation.
- Motivated to work in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
- Self-supply basic personal tools.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years or more experience in the custom car, truck, and/or Hot Rod industry.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to change
