Job Title: Program Secretary - Counseling01/22/2024
Job Summary:
Tasks include, but not limited to, assisting the counselors, maintaining student records, transcripts, and assisting with testing. This classification represents the third level of a four level clerical/secretairal occupations series titles Program Secretary. Positions assigned to this level differ from Office Specialist in that they are generally viewed as secretarial in nature and perform tasks that require specialized knowledge of district and progam operations and procedures. Furthermore, these positions are performing tasks and responsibilities that also afford the position some discretion and judgement over how, what and when the duties of the job are carried out. The classification is similar to Office Specialist in that the majority of position responsibilities still involve duties of a clerical nature and includes many of the core or shared duties common to the occupational series, as a whole duties. Qualifications:
Requires a H.S. Diploma or equivalent and a minimum or 3 years general office clerical/secretarial experience or an equivelant combination of training/education/experience to perform the requirements of the work.
Assignment:
30/hrs/wk- 9 months plus 20 additional days AND additional hours per the PCN Grant as an adminitrative assistant. The 30 hours/week as the Counseling Office Assistant are 8:00am-2:30pm. The additional hours for the PCN Grant averages 2 hours per day but hours may be flexible based on grants needs for five years.
