Job Summary: The Home-Based Teacher will provide 5 hours of instruction per week outside the regular school day, beyond the contracted hours. Instruction may be scheduled as one hour per day or in larger blocks, 2-3 times per week, depending on the needs of the student and the teacher’s availability. Under the direction of district administrators, the Home-Based Teacher is responsible for developing lesson plans to present district curriculum in assigned instructional subjects; instructing students using lesson plans and instructional material; and evaluating and assessing student progress against instructional outcomes and objectives. Teachers also participate and collaborate with other instructional professionals, administrators, parents, counselors, and other district personnel concerning student needs, issues and district learning initiatives.
Qualifications: Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education K-5 Licensure. Certified teaching certificate from the State of MN in the required subject area. Candidates with a background in STEM and PBIS are preferred.
Working Conditions: 5 hours per week. Instruction will be provided in-person or virtually.
