Qualification
Manages the accurate accounting of physical inventory as compared to perpetual inventory records within the distribution center in accordance with company policies and procedures.
1. Takes proactive role in establishing and carrying out shrinkage control disciplines and programs and accepts high level of responsibility for distribution center's shrinkage performance.
2. Oversees ongoing accounting of physical inventory in comparison to perpetual inventory and makes recommendations for improvement in operating system applications.
3. Supervises all aspects of the DC cycle counting and error resolution and correction processes.
4. Oversees the completion of various ad hoc analysis and special projects to support inventory accuracy and product movement.
5. Collaborates with General Office departments to resolve inventory problems and improve the timeliness of product availability.
6. Creates, maintains and monitors various production/accounting reports.
7. Responsible for the management of Inventory Control Auditors Inventory Control Troubles Shooters and/or Inventory Control Supervisor, including interviewing, hiring, training, setting performance goals and providing evaluative feedback.
8. Plans and organizes work assignments. Monitors and controls departmental expenses including overtime to meet or exceed financial plan.
9. Initiates, conducts and seeks appropriate approvals involving disciplinary action up to and including terminations of associates within assigned area.
10. Ensures department-level compliance with key company standards of safety, facility maintenance and posting/notifications.
Qualification
1. Three to five years experience in an Inventory Control/Accounting function required.
2. Bachelors degree in Accounting or related Business field required.
3. Thorough knowledge of supply chain management required.
4. Previous experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred.
5. PC experience, including spreadsheets and word processing required.
6. Previous management experience preferred.
7. Strong oral and written communication, analytical, organizational and time management skills required.
8. Ability to perform physical activity at a sustained pace including walking, bending and lifting within a Distribution Center environment required.
