Tire Technician

Big M is seeking a Tire Technician that will need to have knowledge on how to inspect, repair, mount and dismount truck and trailer tires.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Heavy lifting & Bending

· Provide routine inspections of trucks and trailer

· Keep an accurate log of all worked performed

· Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times

· Adhere to company work safety policies

Minimum Requirements:

· May require lifting up to 75 lbs or more

· Combination of sitting, standing, climbing, bending and walking

· Excellent visual and auditory skills to be able to inspect tractors & trailers and clearly communicate with other mechanics

· The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold

Preferred Requirements:

· Experience in equipment maintenance

· Mechanical background with a basic knowledge of equipment

· Experience in trucking, LTL or diesel mechanics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
