Job Summary :
As a valued member of the Big Machine Music team, you will be responsible for upholding our standards of service as advocates for our songwriter partners. In the role of Publishing Manager, you will be expected to generate income via exploitations and opportunities, uphold and protect the value of BMM copyrights, further the branding of each of our songwriters and be a positive, collaborative member of the BMM creative team.
Job Responsibilities :
- As a trusted tastemaker in front-line music, you will maintain and deepen relationships with our industry partners by serving their song-related needs.
- Represent BMM’s catalog of songs via curated pitching and other initiatives.
- Coordinate writing sessions and managing songwriter calendars.
- Relay word-of-mouth intel and feedback from artist, management, label and other partners to help the BMM team maximize our service and offerings.
- Collaborate with the BMM creative team on songwriter strategy, branding, co-writes, and calendar scheduling.
- Scout talent and facilitate relationships with unsigned talent both during and after traditional office hours.
- Manage log of cuts, holds and #1’s. Responsible for curating “Weekly Update” and “Who’s Looking” emails.
- Be an active participant in daily / weekly meetings and strategy sessions.
- Promote BMM and songwriters via socials and other initiatives.
- Be an active advocate willing to advance and defend the value of songwriters and copywrites.
