What are the responsibilities and job description for the Big Night Live - Stagehand position at Big Night Entertainment Group?
As a Stagehand, a typical day might include the following:
- Performing the load-in and load-out of band equipment and rental equipment
- Assisting audio and lighting crews as directed
- Preparing any band set changes
- Ensuring that members of the band(s) have required items needed to perform the show
- Responsible for communicating the details of the evening’s event to production crew
- Responsible for hanging show banners, updating marquees and other signage in the venue
- Assisting lighting and audio crews as directed by stage manager or production manager
- Assisting with maintenance and repair of sound, light and stage equipment
- Maintaining and securing house backline and supplies
- Maintaining curtains, drapes, risers and other staging items
- Assisting audio crew with stands, microphones, cables, etc.
- Assisting lighting crew with fixtures, cabling, etc.
- Operating and caring for stage areas in a safe, clean manner
- Assisting with any special events operations
- Ensuring stage trash is taken out; stage is swept or set up for next show when needed
- Other duties as assigned
This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:
- At least 1 year previous experience in live event production
- Experience with stage lighting, pro audio systems and basic video systems
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to lift up to 75lbs
- You are able to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise level and extreme lighting changes
