We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be able to troubleshoot hardware and software issues, install and maintain computer systems, and provide support to end-users. The IT Technician will ensure the effective operation of the company’s IT infrastructure and assist in maintaining network security. The IT Technician will report directly to the IT Manager and collaborate closely with the IT team to resolve technical challenges and improve overall IT operations.
- This is not a remote position; all work is done from Big R’s home office in Pueblo, CO
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for computer systems, hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install and configure new hardware and software, including operating systems and applications.

Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, resolving them in a timely and efficient manner.

Assist with setting up and maintaining local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and internet connections.

Perform regular maintenance on IT systems and perform upgrades to ensure optimal performance.

Set up and configure workstations, printers, and other peripheral devices.

Provide end-user training and support for various software applications and hardware devices.

Assist with IT inventory management, including tracking equipment and ordering new supplies.

Monitor system performance and security, ensuring that antivirus software and firewalls are up-to-date.

Document technical procedures, systems configurations, and resolutions to common issues.

Perform regular data backups and system recovery tasks.

Assist with network troubleshooting, including wired and wireless connections.

Support other IT projects as required.

Report directly to the IT Manager, providing updates on daily tasks, troubleshooting activities, and system performance.

Work collaboratively with the IT Manager to implement and improve IT policies, procedures, and strategies.

Ensure all IT operations align with organizational goals and objectives, as set by the IT Manager.
