This is a B2B "sales" position, however our Business Development Team deals mostly with InBound leads and potential clients, networking, partnerships, consultations and collaborating with our Marketing team.
In short, you should expect this role to be more of a Branding, Web Design, Marketing and Technology "consultant", many clients and businesses reach out to us when they are interested in a quote or they were referred to our company.
Your On-Target-Earnings would be between $85,000 - $95,000.
With a base of approximately $35,000 - $45,000 of that total.
Although our top performers are achieving higher: $110,000 - $120,000
- Our base pay starts at $13-$17 per hour
- Then there is the additional 10% - 15% commission (depending on size of the project) on ALL deals closed, no cap, no limit.
- We also have RECURRING commission which is paid out quarterly for all of your closed won recurring clients. 2.5% for all clients PRO and higher in our GROW membership. No cap, no limit.
- Almost all of our leads and deals are InBound, meaning we have very warm potential clients who reach out to us, want more info, consult with you, etc. Your job is to ask the right questions, understand their pain points and review our services, closing the deal.
- We currently have 2 Full Time Business Development Specialists in our team.
- Sky is the limit and our company continues to grow, so will our team members and your ability to earn more.
- The QUOTA or MINIMUM for a month, AFTER TRAINING is $40,000 in new project revenue. Our team is currently hitting this quota 80% or more of the time.
- Training is 3 months, paid and you CAN earn commission during this period. In fact, it is recommended and preferred. You will have a mentor who will work closely with you to help you learn, improve and close your first few deals.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading video calls with potential clients, asking key questions, understanding their pain points and sending them custom quotes on our branding, web design and web support services.
- Following up with referrals and leads
- In-person networking and building your personal brand
- Prospecting on LinkedIn and other online platforms
-Strategic outbound to fill your sales pipeline in Hubspot, using tools like Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.
- Learning what we do at Big Red Jelly and being comfortable talking about branding, web design, web development, digital marketing and online tools.
- Using Hubspot, Gmail, Google Calendar and other online sales tools
- Collaborating with our marketing team
-Leveling up your Personal Brand and representing Big Red Jelly
- Following up with your current and past clients to ensure they are satisfied, happy and progressing through their work with us.
- Follow up with past and current clients to nurture relationships, ask for referrals, etc.

The base pay is hourly that can and will be raised over time based on performance. Following our professional development process and quarterly 1 to 1 performance reviews you can grow your base and eventually achieve higher pay and salary. There are also several leadership positions available including Head of Sales and Marketing, Chief Revenue Officer, Manager, etc.
