Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and experience in vehicle maintenance, particularly with diesel engines. This role involves removing various types of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment parts only, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. The Diesel Technician will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with other technicians to deliver high-quality service.
Responsibilities
- Perform removal of parts on diesel engines and related systems.
- Electrical parts removal only
- Service air brake systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Perform tire services including dismounting.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Uphold safety standards while working in the shop environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician or similar role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with farm machinery and related maintenance practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during removals and maintenance tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
