What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Summer Intern position at Big River Steel LLC?
This internship opportunity provides participants with comprehensive exposure to the Accounting/Finance functions at Big River Steel (BRS) and BR2. Interns will gain hands-on experience across various sectors, including but not limited to:
- Sales and Accounts Receivable (AR): Tasks may involve invoice preparation, AR analysis, and reconciliation of customer accounts.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Responsibilities include managing payment runs, processing vendor inquiries, and addressing discrepancies.
- Cash and Banking: Activities may include cash flow monitoring, bank reconciliations, and managing debt-related transactions.
- Cost Accounting and Financial Analysis: Interns will assist in preparing cost reports, analyzing financial trends, and supporting budgeting processes.
- Intercompany Transactions: Tasks may include managing intercompany reconciliations and ensuring accurate allocation of shared expenses.
- Special Projects: Opportunities to participate in assignments aimed at improving operational efficiency or addressing specific business challenges.

- Candidates must be a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree
- Candidates must be a current student and have completed their sophomore year by June 2025 and be in good academic standing
