Pay for Performance! You start with an hourly rate of $18.00, with our Achieve Bonus Program, you could make up to $24.52 per hour. Here is how it works: Based on your individual performance at 80% performance your wage with bonus equates to $18.68 per hour; at 100% performance your wage now equates to $20.55; at 130% performance your wage now equates to 24.52. We also have bonuses based on our facility efficiencies (team work key).
In addition to the above bonus, we have bonus incentives equipment operators. The additional bonus increase your hourly rate to an additional $1.
Hours:
1st Shift - Monday – Friday 5:00 am to 1:30 pm
2nd Shift - Monday – Friday 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm
All shifts must have the flexibility to work additional time and required Saturdays based on business needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Desire to work and be cross trained over multiple departments;
- Load and unload equipment from trailers.
- Transport materials and goods within the operational site.
- Must be able to quickly, safely, and accurately operate reach truck, stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift and electric pallet jacks for this physically demanding, fast-paced and detail-oriented position.
- Pulling orders and receiving inbound shipments
- Accurately maintain records of inventory
- Must follow safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Develop and maintain an appropriate level of understanding of distribution center operations;
- Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure it’s in good working order
- Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards, while ensuring that all work is performed with a consistent sense of efficiency and urgency;
- Work in compliance with all company, operations, systems, and safety related policies and procedures;
- Process customer orders in the distribution center by manually selecting the correct products for the customer orders using a RF device.
- Moving products by hand, pick cart, or pallet jack.
- Validate that the correct product has been selected and is defect and damage free;
- Able to meet or exceed minimum picking requirements;
- Report any defects or damages, resolve problems with manager assistance;
- Maintain an acceptable level of attendance;
- Perform housekeeping and other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 18 years or older;
- Successful completion of criminal background check and drug screening;
- High school diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of related experience, training, and/or education;
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (limited heat or air conditioning)
- Minimum of one-year distribution center experience;
- Experience with various equipment such as hand-trucks, forklift a plus or ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial equipment certification;
- One year of order picking with handheld and/or wrist RF scanner preferred;
- Experience with highjump preferred
- Able to operate a Reach Truck.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to read and write legibly and to understand and carry out oral and written instructions;
- English language fluency preferred;
- Strong basic math skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to work overtime, including occasional Saturdays;
- Complete understanding of safety and risk management
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform work that involves standing, walking, and bending for a minimum of eight hours.
- Able to continuously lift to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
