Job purpose
As a Warehouse Team Lead, you will be responsible driving functional departmental operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient workflows, maintaining inventory accuracy, and leading a team of warehouse associates. You will play a key role in coordinating tasks, communicating with a peer group to move staffing to support daily goals and objectives for the operation. This role is not merely “the next step” for being the best performer in your role as a warehouse associate: it is incumbent upon being a team player that demonstrates that “it factor” – a leader by whom others are influenced, that communicates well in a high stress, fast-paced environment, requires thoughtful decision-making, fostering teamwork, and enforcing safety protocols to optimize productivity and meet organizational goals.
Duties and responsibilities
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates to achieve performance targets and meet deadlines.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment conducive to high productivity and employee engagement.
- “Act as an Owner” of your functional area of the operation of which are assigned leadership, and drive service of your upstream and downstream Team Leads and/or internal facility customers.
- Proactively working with management on coaching solutions to drive up employee performance, utilization, and efficiency.
- Operational Management:
- Be a daily self-starter, arriving with a goal-setting plan with facility leadership that clearly communicates area goals, posts daily performance reporting an actively engaging in coaching discussions to drive performance goals.
- Oversee receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness.
- Monitor inventory levels, employee process adherence, and performance coaching audits and reconcile discrepancies to ensure proper flow and closure of orders, loads, shipments, receipts and inventory.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as logistics, procurement, and customer service, to fulfill orders and troubleshooting employee problems to resolve issues promptly.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement efficiency-enhancing initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce operational costs.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze data to identify trends, address bottlenecks, and improve overall warehouse performance, utilization, and efficiency.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Maintain warehouse 5S and cleanliness standards and ensure employee clean-as-you-go compliance for a safe workplace.
- Enforce safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, address hazards, and promote adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be bilingual - Spanish
- Must be 18 years or older. High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications, utilizing Outlook, Excel, and Teams daily for various reporting and communications.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles, warehouse best practices, and safety regulations.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Successful completion of background and drug testing.

Job Type: Full Time
Hours: Monday - Friday 2:30pm - 11PM Must be able to work overtime during week and Saturdays when needed
