CLINICAL THERAPIST JOB DESCRIPTION
Big Sky Behavioral Health, Inc.
Job Title: Licensed Clinical Therapist
Location: Billings, MT
Job Type: Full Time
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience
Position Overview: A clinical therapist will provide culturally competent mental health services to children, adolescents, adults, and families who are experiencing varying levels of challenges due to mental health concerns or life circumstances. Be a part of a team of therapists while maintaining a flexible schedule and a work-life balance!
Major Areas of Responsibility:
Provide high quality, compassionate, and ethical mental health therapy to clients, as scheduled, and in line with Big Sky Behavioral Health policies.
Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner, as outlined, in detail, in the job expectations sheet. This includes keeping client files maintained within the EHR (Electronic Health Record) up to date and in accordance with HIPAA standards.
Maintain licensure and good standing with the appropriate board and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and ethics of that board.
Communicate with a client's treatment team and provide community referrals as needed.
Stay current with updated research and best practices. Complete all continuing education requirements.
Actively participate as a positive member of the clinical environment.
Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, case conceptualization and consultation, and attending staff meetings.
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Masters or Doctoral degree in a mental health related field
Active, unrestricted license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, or LCPC) in the State of MT
Ability to hold at least 28 patient sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by BSBH
Skill in working independently and implementing time management strategies
Ability to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and positive team interactions
Have at least one niche market for therapeutic services or have the interest in exploring a specific niche (i.e., children, teens, trauma, anxiety, etc.)
Awareness of personal strengths and ability to provide necessary self-care
