Summary of Job: Big Sky Landscaping seeks an experienced landscape irrigation technician, knowledgeable about irrigation in high altitude, rocky landscapes. We are looking for someone who can install, troubleshoot, and maintain residential and commercial irrigation systems. The irrigation technician works closely with the office director, crew foremen, the operations director, and maintenance manager. Weather permitting, the schedule is “4 – 10s”, Monday thru Thursday.
Description and Responsibilities:
- Self-motivated
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of home and commercial irrigation areas
- Install irrigation timers, piping and valves
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components on irrigation computers
- Perform seasonal system turn-ons/maintenance/winterizations
- Perform backflow tests/audits
- Read diagrams to locate irrigation valves and wiring
- Record and maintain irrigation inventory
- Know when to get down to work and when to lighten the mood on a difficult project
