We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Parts Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement and inventory of automotive parts, ensuring that our operations run smoothly. Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize excess.
- Conduct demand planning to forecast parts requirements based on historical data and market trends.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and quality parts.
- Utilize AS400 systems for tracking inventory, orders, and supplier information.
- Collaborate with the procurement management team to streamline purchasing processes.
- Assist in automotive diagnostics and equipment repair by providing necessary parts in a timely manner.
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed to meet specific customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and supplier communications.
Experience
- Proven experience in inventory management, procurement management, or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics and equipment repair is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier management.
- Experience with AS400 or similar inventory management systems is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also managing individual responsibilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
