What are the responsibilities and job description for the Snowcat Operator position at Big Sky Resort?
Overview:
Snowcat Operators are responsible for grooming ski runs after lift operation hours and preferably assist with snowmaking during the early season. Shifts available include (5) 8-hour shifts from 4pm to midnight or (4) 10-hour graveyard shifts from midnight to 10am. Previous operation of heavy equipment is required and grooming experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for safe and efficient operation of snowcats
- Conduct daily machine inspections
- Work as part of a team of operators to prepare the slopes for our guests
- May be required to work outside in all weather conditions
- Shovel snow as needed
- Maintain clean cab and windows
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Must have a Valid driver’s license
- Previous experience preferred
