POSITION: SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST
Start Date: August 18, 2025
Performance Responsibilities
Active member of the building Intervention Assistance Teams and RTI teams. Evaluates referred students through measures which may include intelligence, academic, social/emotional, behavioral, and/or diagnostic assessments. (Will refer students to other agencies/professionals as appropriate.)
Participates as a member of the Evaluation Team on referred students and helps to determine eligibility under IDEA & 504 (when requested) Makes recommendations to the IEP Team. Consults with teachers in the areas of student behavior, learning environments, teaching techniques, and alternative methods of instruction. Provides in-service training when appropriate to introduce new information to aid teacher and staff functioning. Cooperates with community agencies and parents/guardians to assist students at school, home, and in the community. May provide counseling for individuals or groups to enhance educational or social performance. Conducts appropriate research keeping current of new developments in the field. Interprets school psychological services to teachers and parents. Attends staff, professional, and interagency meetings as assigned. Other duties as assigned by the director.
