Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient exams and assessments to establish patient care plans.Perform general dental procedures such as exams, cleanings, fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, and bridges.Provide guidance on preventive dental care and propose treatments for managing oral diseases.Interpret dental radiographs (x-rays) and diagnostic tests essential for oral health assessments.Monitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws in pediatric patients.Communicate effectively with dental assistants and hygienists to ensure high quality patient treatment.Stay updated with advancements in dental practice and technologies pertinent to patient care.Administer anesthesia and perform surgeries as required within the scope of dental practice.Document treatment plans and care performed within the patient's dental records.Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy as per healthcare regulations and clinic policies.Work collaboratively with the dental team to manage scheduling, treatment procedures, and follow-ups for optimal patient care.Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote oral health awareness and prevention.
Requirements :
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) from an accredited dental school.Valid state dental license and malpractice insurance.Strong proficiency in using various dental instruments and equipment.Excellent diagnostic skills utilizing x-rays, dental instruments, and other diagnostic procedures.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for patient management and documentation.Compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations relating to dental and health care.Commitment to continued education and practice of new dental treatments and technologies.High ethical standards and professionalism in patient care and interactions.Ability to work harmoniously in a collaborative environment.
