Big SNOW is North America's first and only real snow, indoor, year-round ski and snowboard resort. We share our passion of sliding on snow with our guests.
How the Character Performer works with the Team:
The Character Performer is responsible for engaging and entertaining guests while representing Big SNOW American Dream in a professional manner. We are seeking an animated person who can provide high-energy to our character during daily on-site appearances at BIG SNOW. A warm and engaging personality is a must. This role requires that the candidate be capable of handling the physical demands of the costume.
Team Member Responsibilities:
- Perform as the official character of Big SNOW American Dream or as the handler
- Engage guests and encourage interaction
- Work closely with the Marketing team to develop innovative and entertaining appearances
- team member experience, earned guest loyalty, mutual respect and continuously striving to be the best
Team Member Qualifications:
- Represent Big SNOW American Dream at a range of community events and other private appearances with occasional local travel
- Maintain costume and props
- Perform other duties as assigned by Blazer/Guide
- Support our mission through consistent teamwork, a positive
- Prior mascot/character experience is a plus
- Strong people skills and ability to engage with individuals of all backgrounds and ages, especially children
- Must be reliable to report to work on-time and to work in assigned area independently
- Exhibits teamwork; collaborates and communicates with team members with a positive demeanor
- Can lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Strong interpersonal and nonverbal communication skills; all interactions are respectful and appropriate for the audience
- Comfortable with crowds and public interaction
- Due to costume restrictions applicants must be between 58 and 60
- Must wear and perform in assigned mascot costume at all times when working, including ability to withstand warm temperatures while wearing the mascot costume
- Ability to work in indoor weather conditions, including warm and cold spaces while wearing the mascot costume
