What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Handler 1 position at Big Tex Trailer Manufacturing Llc?
Responsible for the coordination of warehousing and receiving of materials. Oversees transport of materials to and from location and ensures material needs are met.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Appropriate usage of all required PPE.
- Ensure that shipping blocks are cut and built using circular saws, nail guns, and other various hand tools.
- Ability to use a torque wrench to remove tires from specific trailers.
- Move inspected trailers out of inspection and to designated storage areas using tractors or forklifts as required.
- Pull trailers and stack for shipping using safe stacking and loading practices.
- Load trucks with trailers for shipment.
- Ability to demonstrate organizational skills and pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written or verbal form.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and maneuver up to 40 pounds.
- Continuously exposed to outside temperatures and weather.
- Continuously exposed to a manufacturing/industrial environment.
