Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Work carefully at all times to ensure safety standards are met and enforced. Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to prevent injury. Ensure all watercraft is properly clear and disconnected from electrical implements prior to pulling from the service bay, water, or unloading from the trailer
- Maintain and repair the equipment used to move and handle watercraft. Update maintenance logs and record all routine maintenance and repairs conducted on each piece of equipment
- Familiarize yourself with our inventory of new, used, brokered, and client-owned watercraft and trailers on site. Be prepared to move watercraft as needed to ensure the service flow is efficient and smooth
- Conduct a review of client watercraft upon receipt. Take note of any damage (including cosmetic damage) or additional notable features to ensure any future client claims are accurate
- Maintain the cleanliness and general organization of the service shop and conduct facility repairs as needed. Report major repairs to the Shop Foreman or Sales Manager. Order supplies from the Office Administrator to ensure the shop is stocked at all times with necessary items.
- Facilitate monthly checks of all watercraft
- Report any damage to watercraft to Service Manager immediately
- Properly cover and block all watercraft. Ensure boats are draining properly and water is not pooling on covers
- Assist Service Technicians with routine maintenance and repair upon request
- Assess repairs to ensure proper materials are on hand and ready.
- Examine finished surfaces of workpieces to verify conformance to specifications and retouch any defective areas.
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment, using solvents, brushes, and rags.
- Read job orders and inspect workpieces to determine work procedures and materials required.
- Clean surfaces of workpieces in preparation for coating, using cleaning fluids, solvents, brushes, scrapers, steam, sandpaper, or cloth.
- Conceal blemishes in workpieces, such as nicks and dents, using fillers such as putty.
- Make any and all repairs complete with the utmost quality standards
- Keep a clean and safe work area. Follow safety procedures to protect themselves and those around them.
- Responsible for following the quality systems procedures and standard operating procedures of the Service Center.
- Cleans customer boats and ensures they are ready for pick up.
- Polishes and waxes boats as needed.
- Reports all damage or malfunctioning equipment to the Service Manager.
- Additional duties and tasks as assigned by Service Manager

Skills & Abilities
Education: A High School Diploma or GED is required; post-secondary education is desired
Experience: 2-4 years’ marine sales and/or service experience preferred
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required. Experience with DockMaster is valued.
Certifications & Forklift Certification is a requirement (Iconic will provide training) Licenses: Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Class E driver and State boater license
Work Environment
A typical office environment has a moderate noise level when working indoors. Outdoor and marine environments may contain uneven and slippery surfaces. The noise level may increase substantially upon interaction with watercraft.
