The Finishing Operator plays a crucial role in achieving immediate and short-term production objectives. As a key member of the Finishing & Hardware team, this position requires near perfect attendance and punctuality. Employees are expected to be in their department area before the shift starts.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all parts are produced on time and meet quality standards.
- Paint all welds and metal surfaces as required.
- Apply labels and bundle products efficiently.
- Assist in measuring products for accuracy.
- Check products for missed welds and confirm weld quality.
- Minimize material waste and optimize production processes.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- One year of work history or military service with an honorable discharge is preferred.
- Forklift certification must be obtained within three months.
- Ability to read a tape measure to the 1/16 inch.
Physical Demands
- Heavy lifting (50lbs) is required regularly.
- Climbing, balancing, lifting, walking, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and carrying materials are essential tasks.
- Manual dexterity is necessary for operating machinery and equipment.
- Visual acuity is required to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts.
