Job Description
Exceed our customers' evolving expectations by providing World Class customer service and a pleasant and rewarding shopping experience.
Build relationships with and educate our customers in order to create sales.
Verify customer information on receipt matches actual prescription container at pick up.
Gather and record drop-off information needed to prepare prescription.
Gather prescription refill orders on a daily basis.
Help patients find over the counter medications without making a recommendation.
Operate a cash register.
Requirements
Ability to represent A Culture of Caring and The Pursuit of Excellence™ through Big Y's Firm Foundations™ (Character, Collaboration, Personal Development, Actions & Results).
MA - Able to pass Pharmacy Technician Registration after 500-1000 hours of training.
CT - Must complete state application process and work with a registered tech for 30 days to become registered.
Must have a high school diploma, GED or enrolled in GED program.
Must complete HIPAA training.
Must project a clean and professional appearance.
Must be a team player with a positive attitude and businesslike conduct.
Ability to operate within Company policies, procedures, and standards.
Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the pharmacy.
Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to prioritize and follow-through.
Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to learn and utilize computer applications.
Must be 18 years of age.
Must consent to and pass a drug screen and background investigation.
