What are the responsibilities and job description for the Database Engineer 3 position at BigBear.ai?
BigBear.ai is seeking a Database Engineer 2 to join to assist and meet mission needs for our government customer. This role will be performed onsite at the assigned customer location.
What you will do
- Monitor databases and related systems to ensure optimized performance.
- Support agile activities for a systems including release planning, sprint planning, and retrospectives to gather and incorporate lessons learned into engineering processes.
- Model data to design local schemas, tables, data types, indexes, procedures and functions
- Work with developers during the normal application development life cycle to build features that deliver value to our customers
What you need to have
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 8 years of Database experience
- Clearance: TS/SCI w/Poly
- Database experience using MongoDB or MariaDB, Including:
*deployment and management of the database itself
*debugging of optimization issues
*scaling
What we'd like you to have
- Python, Django or Flask
- ReST Endpoint Development
- Micro-Service Model
- Swagger
- AWS, C2S or other cloud experience
- Docker
- Visual Studio Code or similar IDEs, JSON and/or XML serialization
- Jira, Confluence
- Git version control
- Experience working in Agile environment
