This position will be based out of Annapolis Junction, MD and will report on-site daily (no remote flexibility).
As a Software Engineer on the program, you will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and defining requirements to determine the most effective software and web technologies to meet client needs. You will develop, maintain, support, and enhance complex software systems based on documented requirements, providing specific input to systems design and adhering to formal design processes and guidelines.
You will design and develop user-friendly interfaces, maintain technical documentation, and ensure the quality control of software. Additionally, you will select development processes, recommend new technologies, and troubleshoot complex software problems. Finally, you will integrate new products with existing applications to improve system functionality and design.
What you will do
- You will contribute to the development and enhancement of the Object Management Service (OMS), a secure and modern API designed to optimize object production and management.
- Build on a robust architecture of discrete analytics, storage, and data microservices, OMS facilitates seamless integration across multiple mission applications.
