Overview
BigBear.ai is seeking to hire a Full Stack Developer (Cloud Developer). As a full stack developer on a product team, your role involves understanding both the backend and frontend architectures of the product under development. You will need to be able to effectively maintain, debug, and advance the features of the production system by working effectively as one of several developers on a team. To do this, you will need to understand how to use Git source control, Jira ticketing for bugs and features, and documentation development on Confluence. For this specific role, a developer should be familiar with most of the technologies as listed, but is expected to remain flexible to changes in the technology stack and to learn new skills independently as the needs of the product change over time.
What you will do
Collaborate with the product team to design, develop, and maintain the application's backend and frontend components, ensuring a seamless user experience.
Utilize Git for version control to manage code changes effectively while following best practices for collaboration with team members.
Engage in debugging and troubleshooting production issues by analyzing system performance and implementing enhancements.
Write clean, efficient code in Java, Python, JavaScript, and React while leveraging frameworks like MaterialUI for UI development.
Participate in Agile / Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups) to contribute to backlog management by developing Epics, Features, and User Stories using Jira.
Document processes and updates on Confluence to ensure clear communication within the team about project status and technical specifications.
What you need to have
- Must maintain an active TS-SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or related fields requiring extensive use of software development, or, equivalently, three years of demonstrated, practical experience in software development.
- Three years of Java, Python and SQL experience or certifications
- Three years of JavaScript and React experience or certifications
- One year of experience with MaterialUI
- AWS Certified Developer Associate
- Experience with the Java Hibernate Object Relational Mapper
- Experience with software testing to include unit testing and the use of testing frameworks on both the backend and frontend
