Certification Details BLS Job Details CAH in Northern Minnesota is in need of a travel Physical Therapist Assistant to come in and work a 13 week assignment during the day shift. 40 hours per week, no call and no weekends Lots of outdoor activities for their time off. Job Requirements BLS required. Experience for both Inpatient and Outpatient is required. Must have good critical thinking skills. Need to have good time management skills and be flexible. Must be able to pick documentation system quickly as you will be documenting in two different systems. Schedule Information M-F, 8am-4 : 30pm No call and no weekends Potentially every 4th weekend you may have 1-2 patients Occasional holidays but rare Unit Specific Information Dx for inpatients : Total Knees, Total Hips, COPD, CAD, general medical needs, weakness and more. Dx for outpatients : neck pain, low back pain, knee pain, post-op shoulders, post-op knees, vertigo. Additional Details PT needed. 13 weeks assignment. Inpatient, Skilled Nursing Facility, Outpatient, Swing Beds, will cover all these areas 50% Outpatient, 25% Inpatient, 25% SNF, this can fluctuate based on needs. 7-8 patients treated per day, 1 hour per patient, 7 hours of patient care a day. May have to double book occasionally and then the patient care would be 30 minutes. EMR : Meditech for Hospital documentation and Point Click Care for SNF. Floor specific orientation : 2 days of orientation, then additional orientation will be based on the traveler’s needs.
