Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages according to standard recipes.
- Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately, handling transactions with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and utensils.
- Assist customers with menu selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies; restock as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food handling safety standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere and enhance their experience.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems
- Strong math skills for handling transactions and retail math calculations.
- Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and food industry practices.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Previous experience in a café or food handling role is preferred but not required.
