Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both residential and commercial painting, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects. The Painter will also be responsible for maintaining tools and equipment while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
• Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Perform drywall repairs and caulking as needed to ensure smooth surfaces.
• Conduct commercial painting projects with attention to detail and quality standards.
• Utilize hand tools effectively for various tasks including fixture installation and frame carpentry.
• Understand and apply color theory to achieve desired results in painting projects.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Painter in both residential and commercial settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with drywall installation and repair techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of caulking methods and materials used in painting projects is essential.
• Experience with plastering techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively for various tasks related to painting and construction.
• Strong understanding of color theory and its application in achieving aesthetic results.
