What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Special Education Teacher - SDC - Mod-Severe position at Biggs Unified?
To provide instruction and services for individuals with exceptional needs. The candidate will be placed according to strengths in grades K-8.
Start Date: As soon as possible upon hire
1. CREDENTIAL: Education Specialist Extensive Support Needs, or appropriate credential as prescribed by law. Must have CLAD. We will consider an Intern with verification from an Institute of Higher Education.
2. PERSONAL QUALITIES: Maintain a professional appearance; meet District standards for physical and mental health; demonstrate enthusiasm for assignment and willingness to participate in supervision of extra-curricular activities; demonstrate ability to maintain cooperative relations with others; have strong work ethic; willingness to be a part of the overall school program.
3. PROFESSIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS: Better than average recommendations from supervisors and other professionals who have observed and evaluated personal characteristics and scholastic attainment.
4. OTHER: The following are preferred, not required: Bilingual (Spanish/English), and coaching ability.
5. Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Salary : $52,824 - $109,796
