Responsibilities:
A Lead Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supervising the activities of fellow medical assistants within the Primary Care Clinic environment. Their key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with physicians and other staff to enhance patient care.
- Managing patient flow to ensure the clinic operates efficiently and minimizes wait times.
- Overseeing the cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of medical instruments and equipment.
- Training medical assistants and front office staff
- Greets patients and visitors
- Initiates a triage for response by medical personnel
- Registers, verifies, and updates patient records
- Provides exceptional customer service, responds promptly and appropriately to customer needs
- Maintaining office and medical supplies
- Handles physician requests in a timely manner
- Prepares and sanitizes rooms
- Provide pleasant and comfortable environment
- Make sure chart prep is completed at least a day prior including insurance verification
- Constant communication with supervisor

- Medical Assistant certification
- BLS certified
- Women's Health Clinic experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing and bending.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
