This is an in-office position at Forest Hills, NY location.ResponsibilitiesProvide legal counsel to individuals, families, and businesses on various immigration matters, including but not limited to permanent residency, naturalization, asylum, removal defense, work visas, and family-based petitions.Represent clients in immigration court, including preparation for hearings, appeals, motions to reopen, and other proceedings.Represent clients in consular processing and provide guidance on visa interviews, waivers, and other consular matters.Assist clients in compliance matters related to work visas, employment-based green cards, and other corporate immigration issues.Advise clients on eligibility and the best legal options based on their specific circumstances.Drafting legal briefs and supporting documentation for appeals and motions.Collaborate with legal assistants and paralegals in preparing case files and managing deadlines.Stay up-to-date on changes in immigration laws, policies, and procedures.Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing immigration law, with a strong focus on family-based, employment-based, asylum, and removal defense.Proven experience with immigration litigation, including in-depth knowledge of immigration court processes.Ability to provide clear, concise legal advice and representation to clients.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a large caseload.Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional client service.Fluency in Spanish or Russian is a plus, but not required.Compensation $90,000 - $150,000About Cohen & Cohen Personal Injury Lawyers, P.C.At Cohen Immigration Law Group, P.C., an esteemed immigration law firm, you will be part of a culture that is deeply committed to navigating the complex landscape of immigration law to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
