What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Attorney position at Bighorn Law?
$80,000 - $90,000
Responsibilities:- Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
- Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
- Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
- Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys
- Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action
- Willingness to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base
- Candidates must have passed the bar exam
- Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients
- Completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school
- Must have an active Nevada Bar license
