Our firm is seeking an experienced senior attorney who is adept at handling a large caseload and familiar with all aspects of the trial process, particularly drafting pleadings, motions, notices, and working toward a resolution. If this sounds like a perfect position for you, please send us your resume today.Responsibilities Manage a pipeline of approximately 100-120 personal injury cases to ensure cases progress seamlessly from inception to settlement / trialLitigate cases for maximum settlement amountsAttend mediations, hearings, and trials as neededMaintain heavy communication with clients, opposing counsel, and adjustersNegotiate settlements as needed, outside of mediation and trialMeet monthly established goals and metricsDraft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests and responsesPerform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motionsStrategize, prepare for, and attend trial proceedings, mediation, and arbitrationMaintain knowledge of local, state, and federal statutes and applicable lawsRepresent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedingsQualifications Must have an active NY bar license in good standingAt least 5 years of experience working as an associate attorneyTrack record of successful settlements via negotiation, offers of settlement, mediation, and jury trialsApplicants must have trial, mediation, and arbitration representation experience5 years of required experience as a senior associate in the legal fieldAdmitted to local and state bar associationsMust be able to handle a heavy caseload with little supervisionFour-year bachelor’s degree and successful completion of law school from an accredited law schoolCompensation $200,000 based on experience bonusAbout Cohen & Cohen Personal Injury Lawyers, P.C.
