What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer in Test(SDET) position at BigRio?
Job Title: SDET
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 months-Contract
BigRio is looking for an experienced SDET. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data validation & cleaning, ELT/ETL testing, automation and scripting, data integration testing, Looker data validation, and SQL.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in a software development, QA, or SDET automation role.
- Experience with one or more cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively disseminate processes and tools to multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Extensive experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
- Strong source code management experience with Git.
- Expertise in test automation across at least two of the following areas:
API/Web Services
Web
Mobile
Performance Testing
- Enterprise-level experience with testing frameworks like Rest-Assured, Selenium, Appium, and TestNG—treating the framework as a product.
- Comprehensive experience with continuous integration, delivery, and deployment platforms such as GitLab, Jenkins, or Bamboo.
- Autonomous and proactive, with the ability to fix bugs when needed.
